miscellaneous
Students who have trouble buying books also frequently have trouble finding transportation to class. If you live in the Bay Area and have old BART or Muni cards, please send them along. Or, purchase BART cards or MUNI cards for students to use.
Another idea is the donation of Borders or Barnes and Noble gift cards in small denominations that can be used to help students purchase books for outside reading practice (a requirement of my reading courses).
